ABOUT THE ARTIST:
KOATES was born into a music-mania, Buddhist family in South East London. With both parents in bands often away touring, he found himself navigating through teenage mayhem on his own. Almost married at 18, it was a close shave at the registry office. This set him up for some pretty unique, emotionally intelligent (in hindsight) songwriting where he ventures into worlds of dark places that emerge hopeful.
