“I was once in a bar when I heard someone talk to the barman about his mother in law, who had dementia. He said that his mother in law for example bought way more bottles of wine than she was able to drink. It was quite obvious the man was upset, but luckily the barman was kind enough to lent him an ear. Close the Bar a Little Later is a story about a man who has to deal with a lot of misery, but finds comfort talking to the barman of his favorite bar.”
