WHAT THE ARTIST SAYS ABOUT THIS SONG:

“Everyone has experienced loss in some way or another, and it’s natural that we wonder what could have been,” explains Jack. “We have these internal conversations with our memories and imagine all the things we’d say or do if we could. Whether they’re happy memories or sad, they quietly shape our personalities and the people we end up becoming. This headspace inspired me to write A Lost Love Takes A Long Time To Die. I’ve tried create something that looked to the past and explored how it made me feel.”

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Good Dog is the moniker for London based songwriter Jack Hardman

Beginning in a makeshift studio on a rainy night, the Good Dog sound blends warm tape tones and introspective lyrics. Rich melodic landscapes and haunted trains of thought. Hardman takes his listeners on a late night drive with him.

However, the journey hasn’t always been straightforward.  Starting life as a 21 year old Radio 1 tipped singer, the death of his father changed the direction of his life and his music. With a new perspective on the world, writing offered a way to look inwards. A way to visit the past and dream of the future.

Featuring contributions from Midlake’s Tim Smith and Creative Direction from Belfast visual artist Orla Toner, the Good Dog house style belongs artists like Whitney, Father John Misty and Real Estate

Good Dog is your forgotten memories on a lonely sea under a warm sun. It’s your grandparents 8mm camera. Your past and future simultaneously.
