Singer-songwriter Geena Fontanella has a knack for penning alt-pop hits and does it again with her new single “Circles.” Geena has one of the best Pop voices you could ever hear! We are not even sure if we could find the right words to describe how incredible and enjoyable this song is. The tune is so catchy and the production work is polished and sounds very professional. This song is another level of Pop, it’s a song that will leave you stuck on repeat all day long. We have enjoyed listening to her vocals until the last second, she is professional and her vibes are unique.
ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Geena Fontanella is an LA-based independent artist born and raised in Southern California. Her infusion of raw storytelling and a fresh take on production brings her dark/new age pop persona to life. Though she’s back in her home state after residing in Nashville, music takes Geena all over the map. She’s toured throughout the United States, Canada, Europe and Asia, playing prominent venues such as Hotel Cafe (Los Angeles, CA), Rockwood Music Hall (NYC), The Crocodile (Seattle, WA), The Vanguard (Tulsa, OK), The Sound Lounge (London, UK), as well as International Indie Music Festival (Jakarta, Indonesia).
Geena digs deep into her artistry through songwriting and collaboration; constantly working to uncover her truth. Her experiences in Los Angeles, NYC, Nashville and London have helped Geena uproot her story.
The L.A-based singer-songwriter fell in love with music as a young kid. “I remember my mom bought me a stereo for my birthday and everyday for a year I would put in a cd and try to hit every note and run I could. Practicing over and over again. For me, it was the first thing I truly fell in love with,” she explains. It wasn’t until high-school that she realized her passion for writing.
“When I was a sophomore in high school, I watched a video of Katy Perry saying, ‘How can you really perform a song and feel it, if you didn’t write it?’ I think what really struck me was that I realized, I could never be a great performer if I didn’t become a great writer. I didn’t want anything standing in my way of being great, so I started immediately.”
