Honestly, this song “Chillin’,” by Timothy James, is one of the best Country songs we have heard in months! The singing voice is rich and incredibly wonderful and the lyrics are original and well written. We have enjoyed listening to this song until the last second, many times, and without feeling bored at all. The few first seconds were enough to have us hooked on repeat for a while! There is a great and beautiful level of songwriting that shines up trough this record and the production work is very professional. The melodies of this record are catchy and so beautiful and the guitar was definitely enjoyable to listen to. This duo has so much talent and their music is amazing and definitely sets them apart from the crowd. This song was an amazing experience for our team!
WHAT THE DUO SAYS ABOUT THIS SONG:
“We wanted to write a song that would embody what floating down a river would feel like. That’s how we spent our summer’s growing up outside of Sacramento. We really wanted to give a different kind of experience with this song.It was originally written on the guitar, but when we debuted it at the Blue Bird Cafe in Nashville, Southwest decided to send Josh’s guitar to Dallas. So, we rearranged our set in Ukelele, which included this song. The reception was incredible. We’ve played it that way ever since…”
ABOUT THE DUO:
Timothy James’ debut singles “Crazy” and “Light ’em Up” are the kind of sing-along anthems you’d blast while driving a country highway, like the long stretch of Interstate 5 that runs between their hometowns of Lincoln and Springville, California. Add their follow-up single “It Don’t Live Here” into the mix, and you’ll invariably find yourself drumming the steering wheel and singing along with its catchy hook.
With a notable range of heart in “Kiss ‘em Both For Me” and a laid-back tenderness in “Chillin’,” their effortless harmonies have quickly established them as country artists to watch.
Currently based in Nashville, Tennessee, Timothy James is rolling out of artist development this summer withCutCraft Music Group (Los Angeles / London).
