“Killing Floor” is a heartfelt song by the singer and songwriter Cai Gray. This song is incredible, it creates a new emotional atmosphere with every listen! We are not even sure if we could find the right words to describe how unique this song is. You will be hooked within a few seconds! The lyrics are original and emotional and Cai’s vocal performance is charming and so professional. His voice is amazingly beautiful and definitely a piece of heaven. The acoustic guitar is wonderful and the melodies are so catchy. Cai Gray is a talented artist and we are very excited to see where his career will go within the next few months!
ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Born in Knoxville, TN, Cai was raised in Orangeburg and Charleston, SC. His interest in music was piqued when he began playing drums at the age of ten. Throughout middle and high school, Cai progressed in his musical endeavors, exploring percussion, piano, guitar, and voice. At the same time, he developed an affinity for creative writing. Consequently, it wasn’t long before these interests naturally merged into songwriting.
Inspired by Panic! at The Disco, Shawn Mendez, and Bastille, Cai’s intention is to create music that inspires as much as entertains. The message is paramount, and he credits his maternal grandfather with teaching him the importance of “facing obstacles and learning to be happy in your own skin.”
His grandfather’s influence, along with the love and support of his other family members, allowed Cai, on his own, to pursue his music dreams in Nashville immediately after high school. A year of really tough work, in and out of the studio, followed. But it was worth it!
Without a doubt, Cai is now ready to share his music and message with the world.

Killing Floor is catchy and deep (not something that usually goes together). My take is that if we, as individuals, don’t fight mediocrity we head to the Killing Floor and loose our individual drive, creativity and beauty within that we were given to grow. This song is now on several of my Playlists as well as Cai Gray’s ‘On My Knees’ and ‘Atomic Fear’ and ‘Invincible’
He is a complicated and talented young man who draws on his life experiences to write, sing, and play his songs. The lyrics all tell a story of strength that he wants to inspire others with.
