ABOUT THE ARTIST:

Steven Blane is a Pop-Americana Jazz infused chill electro pop Singer-Songwriter who plays guitar, piano and ukulele.

And he has been very busy. His most recent release is an album entitled “Sweet Dreams.” He is releasing one song per week beginning Jan. 2020. Prior to that he released a chill electro pop track entitled “Dumbo” and an inspirational pop ballad called “Fly Again.” He also produced a video for Fly Again.

In 2019 he released a Hanukkah EP as well as a brand new Christmas song, First Christmas! The six song EP, “Hanukah” includes five traditional Hanukkah songs with new English interpretations and a song entitled “A Little Light” which he wrote years ago, when he was a Hebrew School teacher.

In the style of so many Jewish songwriters who have written wonderful Christmas songs, “First Christmas” is about the very first time you bring your partner home to meet family and friends. Blane also produced a video for “First Christmas.” FIRST CHRISTMAS VIDEO.

That’s not Blane’s first foray into writing Christmas songs. His 2015 recording of “We’re Gonna Light the Lights Tonight” is another joyful musical celebration of the holiday season.

Clearly on a Keto charged roll, Blane has produced a brand new album, entitled “Sweet Dreams” which will be released in Jan., 2020. It features eleven tracks of chill electro jazz infused pop.

He also has a five song acoustic EP in the can. Entitled “Dancing With The Angles,” it is full-on acoustic guitar driven fiddle filled Americana.

Another recent album, “I Walk Alone,” is a collection of songs that Blane wrote and produced. He played all the instruments, recorded, mixed and mastered everything. It is an album comprised 60’s Rock & Roll, jazz tinged story songs.

The Huffington Post wrote, “Stylistically, Blane fits in the Americana category. But there’s more going on in his music than simply Americana. There’s a pop influence in there, along with a 1950’s rock vibe that gives his sound a unique signature. It’s much different from the usual run-of-the-mill stuff most bands turn out today.”

Of Blane’s previous recent album “So New York,” Seattle PI wrote, “So New York is grand! The album is full of vintage jazz/pop aromas giving off tantalizing wisps of elusive familiarity similar to the heady music of the ’40s and ’50s. Steven Blane’s voice is deliciously deluxe, full of lush tones.”

Prior to that Steven produced an album entitled “Motel Blue.” That album was recorded in Nashville and Produced by Blane. It features amazing Rachel Horter on many of the songs, fantabulous Fiddler Ross Holmes, Bass Player Kevin Hailey and Drummer Frank Levatino. “I’m so proud of that album. It’s just so real- organic- everything done in one take.”

Prior to that, Steven released four other albums. “I Confess” was produced by White Heart core member Billy Smiley and recorded in Nashville, and his Lake Worth, Florida recorded-in-a-shed album, “The Shed Sessions” received excellent reviews and airplay on Radio Stations across the country.

Steven is also a Cantor and a Rabbi. Here is a link to recordings of his High Holiday Services at The Bitter End in NYC.
